About Mia
I want to teach students because when I was studying GCSE science I did not get support on how to answer exam questions which is common in schools. I have always had a passion for Chemistry and Biology due to my mother having a very rare nerve condition in which I have now studied and made a fact file about. I love my subject and hope for you to gain a love for it. I will help you no matter what it is okay to ask questions and get things wrong because that is the best way to learn, keep that positive mindset and also have a good laugh because learning is serious however if there is not a good relationship with my student then they may not participate in a way in which is effective.

I would first ask the student where their gaps are and focus on them first. The best way in which helped me during my GCSEs was to first ensure and consolidate the understanding of the content then apply my knowledge to exam questions. So the way in which I would teach is to go through a topic and we would go through exam questions to help the student get a greater understanding on how to apply their knowledge to achieve the top grades. Lessons would last between 1 hour or 1 hour 30 minutes. In school I helped younger students with Chemistry and Biology GCSE to help them find a better way of revising and understanding of the subject and how to answer exam questions.
