About Joelle
I want every student to feel comfortable, supported, and excited to learn. I teach dance in a way that is easy to understand and helps students feel proud of their progress. I break down each step, give helpful feedback, and make sure students have time to practice and ask questions.
I have years of experience teaching dancers at different ages and skill levels. As The Dancing Unicorn, I believe every dancer has something special to offer. My goal is to help students build strong dance skills, grow their confidence, and enjoy learning along the way.

My approach to teaching dance is centered on meeting each student where they are and helping them understand not just what to do, but how and why. I break down movement into manageable steps, use clear demonstrations and corrections, and tailor each lesson to the student’s goals. A typical lesson includes a warm-up, foundational or technique work, focused skill development, and combinations or choreography, ending with a recap and practice goals.
What sets me apart is the balance I bring between structure and individuality. As The Dancing Unicorn, I believe every dancer has something unique to offer, and I want students to build strong fundamentals while also developing confidence and self-expression. My lessons are for beginner through advanced dancers and can be personalized for students looking to strengthen technique, learn choreography, prepare for performances or auditions, or simply become more confident in their dancing.
