About Meldine
Hi, I’m Meldine Pangco! I’m a passionate, goal-oriented ESL teacher based here in the Philippines, with over 15 years of experience under my belt. Whether it's online or face-to-face, I’ve spent years mastering both one-on-one (man-to-man) sessions and dynamic group classes.
If you ask my students to describe my style, they’ll tell you I bring a unique balance to the classroom: I'm fun and energetic, but I’m also strict when it comes to getting results. My teaching approach focuses on three main ideas to get students talking and thinking independently. First, I stick to a 70/30 rule where the student does most of the talking; I’m just there to guide the conversation so they can build real confidence. When it comes to tough exam prep, I don’t just throw students into the deep end. Instead, I break big tasks down into smaller, manageable pieces—like mastering structure or vocabulary first—before putting it all together. Finally, rather than just pointing out mistakes, I use guided questions to help students catch and fix their own errors. It keeps them actively engaged instead of just passively listening.
