About Lily
I have been teaching piano privately since 2016 with currently 15 students aged from 6 to 14. I am a passionate and dedicated teacher who genuinely wants to spread my love of music to my students as well as help them to tap into their musical talent. By preparing ABRSM piano exams for students, I have learnt how important it is to realise their potential and encourage them to do their best in any situation. It is so rewarding to not only see how much my students have progressed with their piano skills, but also grow their love for music, foster belief in themselves and build their confidence. Every year I host a Christmas concert with all my students to give them an opportunity of performing in front of a real audience. The children look forward to this every year as it allows them to showcase their skills and share their musical ability with parents and friends alike.

As a private piano teacher with 15 students (aged 6 to 14) I pride myself on my ability to tailor my teaching approach to suit each individual student's learning style. I believe that students learn most when they are enjoying themselves and I use this to advantage by structuring my teaching so that students discover their love for music and realise their hidden musical talent. I encourage my students to prepare towards the ABRSM exams as having an objective and goal to work to helps focus their mind and also gives them a sense of achievement. A typical lesson will last 30 minutes normally for the younger students, whereas my more developed students may go up to an hour. I am ABRSM grade 8 qualified and have also completed a master's degree in Education, so am qualified to teach. I have 8 years of piano teaching experience primarily with children but also welcome adult learners.

Lily is a fabulous piano teacher. She has a lovely, calm and gentle manner which brings out the best in her students and makes them eager to learn. She is very knowledgeable regarding technique and looks at posture and relaxing the hands prior to playing. She will help you get through your exams (if you wish) in a supportive, pressure free way and her enthusiasm for music knows no bounds !
