About Anouska
I have a strong academic background , having received grade 9s across GCSE, and A*/As in A-level. I am an avid reader with a flair for words and analysis have mentored younger students in subjects such as English and German during my time at school. I received heart-felt and positive feedback from my students who ended up getting grades 8-9 in their GCSE subject, and they claim that I am a positive and patient tutor who is willing to explain concepts multiple times and in different ways to help them understand. I have also participated in various events and assemblies, wherein I talked to younger students about the most effective methods of studying and succeeding in school, which makes me a confident speaker. Lastly, and most importantly, I have a love for teaching and I believe that students who are in a safe, positive, yet academically challenging environment have the brightest futures and I am willing to offer just that!

My lessons are geared towards students who want to improve their English writing and comprehension skills, and are willing to practice to achieve their goals. A typical lesson may consist of firstly speaking about areas of improvement, and then me providing a question or extract in which I will ask the students how they would go about beginning their answer. Each lesson will end with an evaluation of what has been learned and an overview of any new methods and concepts. I have no minimum or maximum number of exercises I might offer in a lesson; if a student is struggling on one question or literary extract for the whole session, I am completely willing to spend that time making sure they are fully clear on how to go about it. Conversely, I would also be more than happy to prepare several exercises for more confident students. I believe that every person has a different approach to learning, and I am experienced and dedicated to fulfilling their needs.
