About Michael
After graduating with a degree in History, I spent two years in publishing before finding my true calling in education. Now, with over a decade of teaching experience and as Second in Department at a leading independent school, I combine my love of literature with a focused approach to academic achievement. My background in both the academic and professional worlds of English has shaped my teaching philosophy. Working with students to unpack complex texts, develop critical thinking skills, and find their own analytical voice remains the most rewarding aspect of my career. Having guided numerous students to top grades at GCSE and A-Level, I understand what exam boards are looking for and how to help students achieve their academic goals.
