About Kate
I am an experienced ESL tutor with 11 years of teaching high school and college students, passionate about helping learners achieve fluency, confidence, and academic success. My approach is student-centred and personalised, focusing on each learner’s unique strengths, challenges, and goals.
I combine grammar and vocabulary instruction with reading, writing, speaking, and listening exercises, supplemented by real-life examples and interactive practice. I create a supportive and encouraging environment that motivates students to actively participate, ask questions, and develop their English skills confidently.

My ESL teaching methodology follows the C³P framework: Creativity, Communication, Compassion, and Problem-solving. Creativity is fostered through storytelling, role-playing, and project-based exercises that inspire students to experiment with language and express ideas freely.
Communication is emphasised through discussions, debates, and collaborative exercises that improve fluency, comprehension, and confidence. Compassion ensures lessons are tailored to each learner’s pace and style, providing guidance, support, and constructive feedback throughout the learning process.
Problem-solving is integrated through scenario-based exercises, real-world applications, and analytical tasks, enabling students to apply English skills logically and practically. I also teach complementary subjects like reading comprehension, writing, and vocabulary development for holistic learning.
