About Matteo
Teaching Spanish has been an exciting and meaningful experience for me over the last 13 years. I have successfully worked with around 150 High School and College students, helping them improve their language abilities through structured lessons and personal guidance. My teaching philosophy is built on creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to learn, practise, and grow.
My lessons cover all important language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and conversation. I use interactive discussions, worksheets, quizzes, and practical activities to keep students engaged. I believe learning becomes easier when students actively participate and regularly apply what they have learned.
One of my proudest accomplishments is seeing students develop confidence in speaking Spanish and achieve better academic results. Many learners have transformed from hesitant beginners into confident communicators through consistent effort and personalised support.
As a tutor, I am committed to helping students enjoy the learning process while achieving their personal and academic goals. I believe that dedication, patience, and regular practice are the foundations of long-term success in language learning.

My Spanish teaching methodology combines engagement, structure, and adaptability to create lessons that are effective and enjoyable. Accountability ensures learners set realistic goals, monitor progress, and actively participate in their learning. Integrity guarantees lessons are honest, fair, and tailored to each student’s abilities.
I practise Flexibility, modifying lesson content, exercises, and teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles, proficiency levels, and interests. Communication is central; I encourage discussion, conversation, and interactive exercises to develop fluency, comprehension, and confidence.
A Positive learning environment motivates learners, celebrates milestones, and encourages curiosity. I also integrate complementary subjects such as grammar, literature, vocabulary, and cultural studies to provide context and enrich understanding. My goal is to help students communicate effectively, gain fluency, and enjoy learning Spanish.
