About Merrick
I have 6 years of experience as a violin tutor, teaching students from different backgrounds including school students, college learners, and working professionals. I am passionate about music and enjoy helping students develop their skills step by step. My teaching philosophy is based on simplicity, patience, and structured learning.
I believe that every student can learn violin with the right guidance and regular practice. I start with strong basics such as posture, bowing technique, rhythm, and note reading, and then gradually guide students towards advanced lessons. I use simple explanations and practical exercises to make learning easy to understand.
I have successfully taught more than 150 students, many of whom have developed confidence and improved their performance skills. I maintain a friendly and supportive environment. My aim is to make violin learning smooth and enjoyable.

I believe that violin learning should be easy to understand and enjoyable at every stage. My teaching style includes real-life examples and simple explanations that help students connect musical ideas with practical playing. I focus on building a strong foundation through posture, bowing techniques, scales, and tone quality.
I teach in a structured way and make sure students clearly understand each concept before progressing further. I also personalise my lessons based on individual needs and abilities. I create a friendly and open environment where students feel comfortable to communicate and ask questions.
I provide regular feedback and encourage consistent practice. I follow integrity, discipline, and dedication in my teaching. Along with violin, I also teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and sight reading.
