About Claire
I started my journey into teaching in an outdoor setting. I instructed and coached outdoor activities (climbing, surfing, kayak, canoeing) aswell as navigation and bushcraft to students. From this I became a teaching assistant specialising in subjects (D&T, PE Art and Geography). I completed my Sport science degree at Loughborough and have been teaching secondary students ever since.
I have a love for travel, photography, design and sports.

I have a passion for how the subject I teach has an impact on the world today. I teach in a way that allows the learner to make links with everyday scenarios.
Design and Technology encompasses practical and theory-based elements. Allowing learners to build a portfolio of cross curricular elements ranging from sporting apparel, understanding sporting nutrition, workshop materials and properties and development of isometric drawings.
