About _Charu
I am a Political Science graduate student at Delhi University with 5 years of tutoring experience and a genuine passion for making Humanities subjects come alive in the classroom. I scored 96.8% in my Class 10 boards, 92% in Class 12, and achieved a 100 percentile in CUET, so I understand, from personal experience, what it takes to perform under pressure. As an active member of the Model United Nations Circuit Delhi, I engage with politics, global affairs, and critical debate every week, and I bring that energy directly into my teaching. My students don't just memorize facts, they learn to think, argue, and write with confidence.

*Teaching philosophy*
With 5 years of tutoring experience, I believe that understanding always comes before memorization. Humanities and Social Sciences are not subjects to be crammed, they are living conversations about the world around us. My goal is to make every student think, question, and connect ideas to real events, so that answers flow naturally rather than being recalled under pressure.
*Teaching techniques & methods*
1. Socratic discussion
I ask questions rather than lecture. Students learn to reason through problems and defend their answers — a skill that directly helps in board exams and CUET.
2. Mind maps & concept linking
Complex topics like federalism, democracy, or international relations are broken into visual maps, making them easy to recall and write about in long-answer questions.
3. Current affairs integration
Every concept is connected to a real-world example from today's news — elections, policy changes, international events — making the subject feel relevant and memorable.
4. Answer writing practice
Regular practice of structured 2-mark, 4-mark, and long-answer questions with detailed feedback on how to score better — exactly what board examiners look for.
5. MUN-style debate & argumentation
Drawing from my MUN experience, I train students to argue both sides of an issue — this sharpens critical thinking and improves essay and source-based question scores.
*Typical class structure*
1. Quick recap (5–10 min)
We revisit the previous session's key points through Q&A before introducing anything new.
2. Concept delivery (20–25 min)
The new topic is explained with examples, real events, and diagrams — with discussion encouraged throughout.
3. Practice & application (15 min)
Students attempt past paper questions or case studies on the topic. I guide where they go wrong and how to frame answers better.
4. Wrap-up & preview (5 min)
Key takeaways are summarized, a small assignment is given if needed, and the next session's topic is previewed so students can come prepared.
