About Dodi
Hi, I’m Dodi! I’m a university student with a strong background in Sociology, having achieved an A* at A Level and a Grade 8 at GCSE. When I first started studying Sociology, I actually struggled with revision and essay writing. What made the difference was working collaboratively — sharing ideas, learning from former students, and discovering revision techniques that really worked. That experience not only helped me boost my own grades, but also showed me how powerful the right guidance can be. That’s why I want to teach. I know how daunting exams can feel, but I also know how to make progress quickly with the right strategies. My goal is to share those methods with you, help you build confidence, and support you in achieving the results you’re aiming for. Whether you’re aiming for top grades or just want to feel more secure with exam technique, I’m here to make sure you feel guided, supported, and capable.

My Teaching Approach I make lessons clear, structured, and engaging by breaking down complex topics into simple summaries. I use examples, exam-style questions, and active recall to help you not just understand content but remember it under exam pressure. Lesson Length Most sessions are 1 hour, but I also offer 90-minute lessons for students who want extra practice with essays or timed exam questions. Qualifications & Experience I achieved an A* in A Level Sociology and a Grade 8 at GCSE. Having recently been through the exam system myself, I know exactly what examiners are looking for and how to maximise marks. I’ve built detailed essay plans and revision resources that can help students push their grades up. Who I Teach I tutor GCSE and A Level Sociology students (ages 14–18) of all abilities — whether you want to secure a solid pass, aim for top grades, or simply feel more confident with essay writing and evaluation.

Rates - £15 per hour - £70 for 5 hours (block booking) - £120 for 10 hours (block booking) I keep my rates affordable so as many students as possible can access extra support. Block bookings are also available if you’d like regular lessons, which makes things a little cheaper in the long run. First Lesson Free (30 mins) Your first 30-minute session is free. This is a consultation and sample lesson where we’ll talk about your goals, look at your exam board, and go through a short activity so you can get a feel for my teaching style. Making Tutoring Accessible As someone who benefitted from widening participation programmes myself, I know how valuable extra academic support can be. That’s why I offer slightly reduced rates for students from lower-income backgrounds, including those eligible for Free School Meals. I want tutoring to feel like an option for everyone, not just a few.
