About Michael

With over 25 years of drumming experience, I have been teaching for almost 20 years. Trained under UK drumming legend Dave Hassell, I am trained in all styles from jazz to metal. In 2007, I founded my drum school in Manchester City Centre, growing it into the most popular drum school in the area.

Over the past two decades, I’ve worked with thousands of students across all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced players preparing for graded exams, university auditions, and professional live performance. My focus is on helping you build strong technical foundations, fluid motion, and real musical confidence on the kit.

You can see more of the studio and teaching work by following my Instagram - @Mike_Bahari

About the lesson

Learn drums from anywhere in the world, or at my studio in Central Manchester.

Tailored Curriculum: From hand technique, ergonomics, and rudiments to multi-limb independence, sight-reading, and playing along to your favorite tracks across all genres (rock, funk, jazz, metal, and more). I am also affiliated with the Trinity College London and have a 100% pass rate for graded exams.

Get high-quality audio, multi-angle video, and interactive sheet music delivered straight to your practice room. Whether you're a beginner picking up sticks for the first time or an experienced drummer working on advanced technique, my online lessons provide the same best-in-class drum tuition without the commute.

What’s Included in Every Lesson:

Free 30-Minute Tech & Intro Session: We start with a complimentary 30-minute video call to say hello, discuss your drumming goals, and test our audio/video connection so everything runs seamlessly before your first official lesson.

Lesson Video Recordings: Never forget an exercise or fill again. Every session is recorded in HD so you can rewatch your lesson, analyze your playing, and practice with total clarity throughout the week.

Dedicated Student Portal: All your personalized drum sheet music, practice schedules, custom video clips, and interactive notation are uploaded to your personal Google Drive folder after every lesson.
