About Marjolaine
I have over three years professional experience working with the Adobe Creative Cloud, in particular Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. While working in a VR production house, I oversaw and helped interns working on matte paintings and produced the majority of promo artwork and posters for the company.
I have a passion for sketching, traditional art and digital art, drawing portraits for over eight years with graphite, colour pencils and Photoshop.

For over a year and half, I worked as a digital artist/designer in a Virtual Reality production company, overseeing interns and working with other professionals. I have volunteered and worked in freelance on concept art and storyboards since graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Design for Film and Television from Nottingham Trent University in 2013. Additionally I have also completed a Master of Arts in Design for Film, Television and Events.
As an all time hobbyist of digital and traditional art, I have often wished that I had been given certain tips and advice when learning to use Adobe Photoshop or drawing. I am looking to teach both beginners and intermediates.
I specialise in portrait and figure drawing rather than environments when it comes to traditional art and digital painting. For matte painting, I can work with both human and non-human elements to create posters/promo images or backdrops.
For beginners, I can teach you to use Adobe Photoshop CC either for drawing or matte painting. I will help you understand the options the software gives you. If you are an artist drawing with a Wacom graphics tablet, I can help you understand how to draw realistic portraits.
For both beginners and intermediates looking to work on their drawing skills with graphite or coloured pencils, I will teach you how best to reproduce what you see and how to work with shading and colours.
My lessons will be tailored to you personally and the areas where you wish to improve or gain confidence. There will be short exercises as well as more ambitious drawings on which I will assist you every step of the way!
