About Dima
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been doing one to one maths tuition part time for 14 years and full time for the last 7 of those. I teach from year 4 up to A-Level including IB. Every one of my students has been unique in how they learn and what they enjoy and that is part of the joy of it all.

I am lucky in that I spend my time doing something I love - teaching mathematics. I make up my own questions which my students complain can be too challenging but I figure if they can answer mine then they are ready for the exams!
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Maths and I adapt my lessons to each student as everyone thinks differently and people study the subject for varying reasons. I often get asked by my students why maths is compulsory as they are convinced that they will never need it in the future. As I keep telling them maths is what makes the world go round and it is every where. I teach my students how to solve problems logically so that they are set for any job.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I studied for my maths GCSE, additional maths AS, maths A-Level, further maths and maths BSc. So my students sometimes think my love for maths is a bit geeky but I love the joy of solving problems logically without having to memorise loads of things!!
- How much do you charge?
I charge £40 per hour.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my house in Croydon, Surrey, which covers the towns of Shirley, West Wickham, Bromley, Purley, Wallington, Thornton Heath, Sutton and Cheam
- When are you available?
I tutor every day of the week from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach from Year 3 to A-level, adults needing the equivalent GCSE
