About Oliver
With 8+ years of experience as a flute tutor, I am passionate about guiding students from school to college level in their musical journey and helping them build strong skills and confidence. My experience in music has taught me that patience, discipline, and regular practice are essential for success, and I bring these values into my teaching.
I have worked with many students, supporting them as they progress step by step and achieve their goals. A key milestone in my career has been seeing students perform confidently in various events and competitions. My teaching approach is clear, patient, and student-focused, emphasising essential techniques such as breathing control, tone production, finger coordination, and rhythm.
I also ensure that lessons are engaging and enjoyable so students remain motivated. I believe that music education plays an important role in personal development, and my goal is to inspire students to continue learning and build a strong connection with music.

My approach to teaching flute combines Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to provide a balanced and effective learning experience. I believe that learning music should be both enjoyable and meaningful.
I start by understanding each student’s strengths and pace so I can adjust my teaching methods accordingly. I motivate students by encouraging regular practice and appreciating their progress, which builds confidence.
Communication helps me explain techniques like breath control, fingering, posture, and tone quality in a simple and easy-to-understand way. With integrity, I ensure students learn step by step and build strong basics. I guide them patiently and provide honest feedback.
Creativity allows me to design engaging lessons using songs, exercises, and fun learning activities. In addition to flute, I also teach music basics like rhythm, scales, and listening skills to support overall learning.
