About Leon
I am a passionate violin tutor with 11+ years of teaching experience, working with high school students, college learners, and adults. I have successfully taught around 300 students, helping them build strong musical skills and confidence. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, understanding, and steady progress. I believe every student can learn violin when lessons are clear and well-structured.
In my classes, I focus on building a strong foundation in posture, bowing, finger placement, and tone quality. I explain each concept in a simple way so students can easily understand and apply it. I also include scales, exercises, and songs to make lessons interesting and balanced.
One of my key achievements is helping students move from beginner level to confident performers. I also guide students in overcoming stage fear and improving their musical expression. My goal is to create a comfortable and motivating learning environment where students enjoy every step of their journey.

I approach violin teaching with a focus on clear communication, flexible methods, and practical learning. I customise lessons to each student’s abilities, learning style, and musical goals to ensure understanding and progress. I teach posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone production, phrasing, and expressive skills while also encouraging creativity and interpretation.
Lessons are enriched with real-life examples such as learning favourite pieces, performing for small audiences, and understanding the emotional storytelling of music.
I also include related subjects like music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano to help students become well-rounded musicians. My goal is to create a structured, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment where students feel confident and motivated to excel.
