About Susie
Hello! I'm Susie, an award-winning theatre director, qualified teacher and creative mentor.
After studying Drama, Applied Theatre and Education at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, I co-founded two theatre companies and developed a career creating professional theatre.
My productions have received Theatre Weekly's Best Show at Edinburgh Fringe (2022), Best Theatre & Performance at Perth Fringe (2023), and an Offie for Best Sound Design (2024).
I've also supported the development of plays longlisted for the BBC Popcorn New Writing Award and Women's Prize for Playwriting.
Alongside my professional work, I've spent the last six years writing and directing school productions, bringing my professional theatre experience into educational settings. I've also mentored young people to write, direct and stage their own original shows.
I combine professional directing expertise with a passion for empowering young performers and bringing ambitious, imaginative productions to life.
