About Sama
Sama Gad is an assistant professor (i.e. senior lecturer) with over fifteen years of teaching experience. She has a Ph.D. in Operations & Supply Chain Management with a focus on dairy products as part of the agricultural sector from the University of Hull, UK, in addition to a PG Cert. In research training from the same University. Also, she obtained her M.Sc. in virtual supply chain management and B.Sc. in logistics from AASTMT, Egypt.
Dr. Gad is the program manager of the professional certificates: The Higher FIATA Diploma in Supply Chain Management and the FIATA Diploma in Freight Forwarding. She’s responsible for managing the administrative teams in three of the AASTMT branches: Two in Cairo and the main campus in Alexandria. That’s beside being a module coordinator responsible for designing the courses’ syllabus and monitoring the lecturer and assistant’s performance throughout the academic year.
Dr. Gad has two book chapters published by Springer, six conferences’ participation and one Journal paper. Her research interests are marketing and omni-channels, procurement, e-logistics, operations, supply chain, agriculture, the food sector, health care logistics, and sustainability. She has graduate and undergraduate teaching experience in these disciplines in addition to teaching research methodology, marketing, and customer relationship management. Currently, she’s an associate editor for the International Business Logistics (IBL) Journal, and a reviewer and editor for International Journal of Logistics, PLOS ONE, and the IGI Global case studies book.
Dr. Gad used to be responsible for organizing and coordinating the seminars, events, conferences, field trips and career fairs held in collaboration with her college. Also, she used to launch programs and participate in marketing and digital campaigns to promote the college.
