About Rico
Reading sheet music, fingerpicking, lead guitar, grade exam prep, electric technique, ear training, tuning and maintenance, acoustic technique, reading tabs, and songwriting represent my core toolkit for you. I spent years teaching myself from cassette tapes before refining my craft with a BMus Jazz Guitar from University of North Texas, which lets me balance raw intuition with technical rigor. Having worked with students for 6 years, I find that mixing these two worlds usually gets the best results.
How does your own musical curiosity currently influence the way you practice your guitar? I act as a gear and tone nerd who will help you dial in your amp before we even touch the fretboard. Admittedly, I spend too much time tweaking pedals because I want your sound to feel right from the first note. Because I hold a BMus Jazz Guitar, I rely on my 6 years of experience to bridge the gap between technical theory and the songs you actually want to play.
I provide custom backing tracks so students can practice soloing at home with confidence. My lessons focus on essential skills like ear training, acoustic technique, and lead guitar mastery.
