About Alisha
Hi, I’m a teaching assistant and tutor who works with students who sometimes find learning tricky, stressful, or overwhelming. I understand that everyone learns differently, and that emotions, confidence, and feeling safe all play a big part in doing well at school. I chose to teach because I’ve seen how powerful it is when someone truly listens, believes in you, and takes learning at your pace. My goal is to help you feel more confident, calm, and capable — not just in lessons, but in yourself. In our sessions, mistakes are okay, questions are welcome, and progress is something we build together.

Struggling with a child who finds learning overwhelming, emotionally challenging, or difficult to engage with? I’m an experienced Teaching Assistant specialising in SEMH support, helping children build confidence, regulate emotions, and re-engage with learning. I provide calm, structured 1:1 tutoring tailored to each child’s emotional and academic needs. My sessions focus on creating a safe, supportive environment where children feel understood, motivated, and capable of success. I also work closely with parents to ensure consistent support and clear progress.
