About Michael
'...Professional, conscientious and inspiring musical mind.'
I am a Northern Irish musician and teacher based in Leeds, UK specialising in improvisation. I first came to Leeds in 2007 to study Jazz at Leeds College of Music and graduated in June 2010 in Jazz performance. Since then I have worked with a variety of musicians from different disciplines and backgrounds nationally and internationally.

Each lesson is individually tailored to the student - working through either the grade system (ABRSM, Trinity etc.), jazz theory and concepts or pieces of the student's choice.
Michael has extensive experience conducting workshops and teaching students of all ages on a one-to-one basis and currently teaches at an independent school in Doncaster. He specialises in teaching classical and folk cello (specifically eastern European/Turkish/Greek music), bass guitar and jazz double bass.
