I am an experienced performer and teacher in a wide range of styles of music.

- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a MA and a BMUS with 1st class honours from the Royal Academy of Music London. I have an LRAM teaching qualification and also a DipABRSM in Percussion performance.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £30 per hour or £20 for half an hour if students visit me. I am willing to travel to reach a reasonable distance adding £5.00 for my time and oyster card.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my Kilburn home with a fully geared-up studio of drum kit, xylophone, snare drum, Timpani and electric piano. I am willing to travel around London to Maida Vale, St Johns Wood, Marylebone, Acton and Ealing or anywhere else within a reasonable distance.
- When are you available?
My diary changes all the time but I am never free on a Saturday morning as I teach at Ealing Junior Music School.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
All ages, all levels
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I am familiar with Associated Board exams for Orchestral Percussion and Rock School Drum Kit exams but will prepare a student for any Board they wish.
- Describe your arrangements for online tutoring.
Either we can hold a Skype conversation, utilise Roland's "V-drum friend jam," apple's FaceTime or you can record videos with questions and email them through dropbox or You Sendit.
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have a wide range of experience in many different styles. On Timpani and Percussion I freelance with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Aurora Orchestra and London Mozart Players. As a soloist I have performed on BBC radio 3 at the 2011 Proms, for the Norfolk and Norwich festival and for Anna Valentine's 2010 Spring fashion show. On drum kit I have played on numerous shows and recordings and accompanied various choirs including the LSO Discovery choir. In the studio I have recorded the soundtrack for Alexandre Desplat's "The Ides of March, 2011" and a currently un-announced new Star Wars video game as well as various classical recordings. I have composed the original music for two documentaries for BBC 1, "Watching Ourselves, 2012" and "The Films of Scotland, 2011."

I currently hold three up-to-date CRB checks renewed Spring 2012.

- Tell me about some of your current students.
I currently have two students sitting their grade 8 Rockschool Exams, a student at Kings College London who recently received a first for his recital exam and a 10 year-old beginner who achieved Rockschool grade 2 with distinction within 18 months of starting drum kit.
