About Harry
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been playing professionally for 15 years. This has included tours on four continents, headline shows including Tokyo Jazz Festival, The Royal Albert Hall, Goa Festival, JZ club Shanghai, Berlin Jazz Festival, 02 london, and a year long residency at Ronnie Scotts London.
I have played on dozens of major label, independent and commercial releases, including work for Universal Music and Island Records. I have also recorded multiple film scores, including recording and co-writing the improvised score to "A Pretty Red Dress", a BFI funded feature film released last year.
I have taught at university level since 2015, including teaching at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, and Kent University, alongside school teaching and a core of private students.
My students have achieved a 100% acceptance rate to Conservatoire and University Level, and 100% pass rate at Trinity Guildhall and Rock School exam syllabuses.
I also recorded the Rock School syllabus for the asian educational pack, so I have an in depth knowledge of this material.
I relocated from london to Margate in 2023 to build my home studio, and I'm now happy to be welcoming students into this bespoke space.

Hey. I'm Harry, and I'm a professional drum kit player and teacher based out of my studio in Margate, and travelling to surrounding areas.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I teach Drum Kit, from absolute beginner to university level.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a MMus with Merit in Jazz Drum Kit from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and a BA (Hons) from Leeds College of Music, also in Jazz Drum Kit.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £40p/h for home visit lessons, and £35-40 per hour for visits to my studio, which includes multiple drum kit setup and recording if necessary. I also do discounts for block bookings.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at my studio in Manor House, as well as teaching at homes in Hackney, Islington, Angel and further afield.
- When are you available?
I have very flexible availability, please get in touch to find a slot that works for you.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I teach from age 2 (he's cute) to University Level (not so cute).
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
Degree Level Auditions and Recitals, Rock School grades 1-8, Trinity Guildhall Grades 1-8, A level and GCSE recitals.
