My 12 year old son has been having lessons with Phil for about 9 months. My son really enjoys his lessons, and has made great progress - Phil has built his confidence and seems to encourage him and stretch him just the right amount each week. Phil is generous with his time, and is flexible when arranging lessons. Would recommend for any beginner.

He writes his own drills for them, he gets them listening properly (not just playing by rote) … and with the newly acquired skills, they have been able to enjoy jam sessions with youth rock bands in the area!
