About Maddie
I’m Madeleine, a Durham University PPE graduate (First Class) with A*s in both Maths and Economics at A-Level and all 9s at GCSE. I grew up in Marlow and now tutor GCSE Maths and A-Level Economics both online and in-person. I also have ADHD, and despite that challenge I achieved top grades throughout school. This experience means I understand what it’s like to struggle with focus and motivation, and I’ve developed strategies that I now share with my students. I started tutoring at university after co-founding a small tutoring business, and quickly discovered how rewarding it is to help students not only improve their results but also feel more confident in how they learn. My goal is to show students that, with the right approach, they can enjoy learning and achieve their full potential.

We start with a free consultation where the student shares what they’re struggling with and, if possible, sends me recent exams, marks, or homework. From there, I tailor my approach and design a four-week plan to help them reach their goals. For some, the plan focuses on theory—building strong understanding of core concepts step by step with practice questions and short quizzes. Others need to sharpen exam technique, so we work through past papers, timed questions, and structured essay plans. Some students benefit most from revision support, where I create a clear timetable with weekly goals, regular check-ins, and accountability to stay on track. Every lesson is adapted to the student’s learning style, ensuring they feel supported, motivated, and confident.
