I adapt my IELTS classes to your needs and wishes. I try to cover at least two skills per session, focusing as much as possible on Speaking & Listening, but make sure that we strike a good balance in all four skills. I set Reading & Writing exercises for homework and discuss these at the beginning of the next session or look at them at home first. Many students will want to focus on the skill that has caused them to fail their IELTS. Although I am happy to do this, I try to encourage my students to continue to practise all four skills as their whole IELTS test has to be taken again, and it is very easy to neglect a skill and then perform poorly in that too.
I am an experienced teacher of English and EFL/ESOL and have prepared many students over the years for their IELTS test, both General and Academic.
For the General IELTS test, may students come to me as they require a certain band in one or more skills order to be successful in their application for emigration, usually to Australia. Often rather frustrated by the lengthy application process as well as nervous about having to sit an IELTS test, I have helped to put them at their ease, allow them to focus and nearly always helped them to achieve their required IELTS bands.
UK universities usually require overseas applicants to have obtained specific IELTS bands in each of the four skills before they can be admitted to a degree course. I have helped countless students to achieve their required bands in the Academic IELTS test. Often this is in one skill, such as writing. I will put you at your ease from your very first session. Why not join the many students who have passed their IELTS test with me?
I may charge an extra £5 for travel expenses if I have to travel more than 40 minutes in total.
