My teaching method is methodical, technical, and musical. I take every student from where they are and lead them step-by-step to a place of technical security and proficiency. Once a solid and serviceable technique is achieved, students can begin to really enjoy the music they learn and play, without the distraction of tension and unserviceable habits. Music theory students are given clear, uncomplicated explanations of theoretical concepts to build a solid foundation of knowledge and understanding that helps in analysis classes and performance situations.
