About Ashley
Hi, I’m Ashley! I’m currently an Economics student at Columbia University with experience helping classmates study and mentoring younger students through coaching and leadership activities. Outside of academics, I’ve been involved in community service, student organizations, and team-based environments that have strengthened my communication and leadership skills.
As a current college student, I bring a unique perspective because I understand the challenges students face today and know how to explain concepts in a relatable and supportive way. I focus on building confidence, creating a comfortable learning environment, and helping students truly understand material rather than just memorize it.
I tutor economics, basic math, and reading-related subjects for middle school, high school, and introductory college students.

I approach tutoring by focusing on helping students truly understand concepts instead of memorizing them. As an Economics student at Columbia University, I understand the challenges students face and know how important it is to explain material in a clear, relatable, and encouraging way.
My lessons are interactive and personalized to each student’s learning style. A typical session includes reviewing difficult topics, working through examples together, and practicing independently while I guide and support the student. I also focus on building confidence so students feel comfortable asking questions and improving over time.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students as both a mentor and fellow student. I have experience helping classmates study, coaching younger students through sports, and creating supportive learning environments. My lessons are best for middle school, high school, and introductory college students in economics, algebra, basic math, and reading-related subjects.
