About Olayinka
I have been giving private and in-class Economics lessons since 2006. I teach both WAEC and Cambridge Economics Curriculum. Therefore, I possess good knowledge of the subject matter. Grounded in constructivism paradigm, I adopt a student centered teaching approach that allows learners take control of their learning and develop in-depth understanding of relevant concepts. My pedagogical approach gives students a comprehensive knowledge needed to excel in their exams- locally or internationally, while developing critical thinking by creating an engaged, rigorous and relevant teaching and learning process.

My teaching method is inquiry based. I offer support and guidance as students work on tasks. It depends on them taking on a more active and participatory role in their own learning. I base my class on making learners assume a much more active role in the learning process while I play the role of a facilitator or “guide on the side,” using assessment to drive learning. Students learn from and are continually assessed on such activities as group projects, student portfolios and class participation. I approach each topic by giving explanation of key concepts and allow learners work on relevant tasks, while I provide instructions based on the need of each learner.
