About Benjamin
My passion for economics began with curiosity about how markets, policies, and human choices shape societies and global development. This interest led me to complete a B.A in International Economics and later an M.Sc in Development Economics, where I explored both theoretical foundations and real-world economic challenges. Over the past 9 years, I have supported students in building confidence through structured teaching and meaningful discussion.
My teaching approach is clear, supportive, and concept-driven. I break down complex economic models into manageable ideas, using real examples, visual explanation, and guided practice. I encourage learners to ask questions freely and develop confidence through understanding rather than memorisation.
Outside tutoring, I stay connected to economics through reading global policy research, analysing current economic trends, and exploring development studies. Teaching economics is fulfilling because I see students transform from confusion into confident understanding. My goal is to help learners succeed while gaining insight into the world’s financial and social systems.

Economics becomes much more interesting when students see it as the study of real human decisions, markets, and global systems rather than just graphs and definitions. In my lessons, I guide learners through microeconomics, macroeconomics, supply and demand, inflation, trade, and policy analysis with clarity and supportive explanation. I focus on helping students connect theory to real-world examples, so concepts feel meaningful and memorable. Each session encourages discussion, critical thinking, and confidence in interpreting economic ideas. My goal is to make economics approachable and engaging.
Lessons are tailored to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on basic economic principles, market structures, and simple graph interpretation. Intermediate students strengthen analytical reasoning, policy understanding, economic writing, and exam-focused strategies. Advanced learners explore development economics, international trade systems, economic modelling, and deeper theoretical debates. Practice questions and feedback are included in every lesson to ensure steady improvement.
Economics lessons also build critical thinking and awareness of the world. Students learn to analyse decisions, understand social systems, and interpret current events with clarity. Many learners gain confidence when they can explain how economies function in daily life. My mission is to help students succeed academically while developing strong economic understanding.
