About James
I have over 25 years’ experience in the corporate world, including roles with Lenovo, Hewlett Packard and Ericsson. That experience gives me a practical understanding of how businesses operate and make decisions, which I bring into my teaching.
I have also spent five years educating my son at home and 18 months teaching learners one-to-one as a driving instructor. I enjoy helping students build confidence, understand difficult ideas clearly and see how business theory connects to the real world.
My aim is to make Business engaging, relevant and straightforward for both GCSE and A Level students.
I am DBS checked and understand the importance of creating a safe, supportive and professional learning environment.

I offer structured online Pearson Edexcel GCSE and A Level Business tuition, combining over 25 years of corporate experience with practical, engaging teaching. My career has included roles with major international companies including Lenovo, Hewlett Packard and Ericsson.
My 60-minute lessons use real business examples, clear explanations, structured resources and exam-style practice to help students understand how businesses actually make decisions, rather than simply memorising theory.
I also have five years’ experience educating my son at home and 18 months’ one-to-one teaching experience as a driving instructor, so I understand the importance of adapting lessons to the individual.
I welcome both school and home-educated students and offer a free 30-minute initial consultation to understand each student’s needs and agree a clear plan.
