About Declan
I'm a young and friendly university graduate that is passionate not just about film, but also about teaching. I'm very open and patient, and will happily answer any questions you ask no matter how silly you think it might sound. In my sessions you should never feel like making a mistake is a bad thing, and I will be actively encouraging you to learn from them and develop yourself not just as a student of film, but also as a young person.
My learning process is all about you! You decide what we want to focus on, how much detail you want to go into, and when you feel like your ready to move onto something new.

About the lesson

In the beginning I will be asking my student what element of the film process that they would like to focus on, and develop with them on their first session a lesson plan with them included. Sessions are 1hour long and would benefit mostly Film Studies or Moving Image Arts students, however anyone is welcome as long as they're passionate about learning the basics of film making. The typical age range of a student would be 14-18.
I have a (BA)Degree in Film Studies with Film production, along with an A-Level in Moving Image Arts. I also have professional experience working alongside staff of the Nerve Centre Derry in one of their hugely beneficial training programs that specialise in learning the basics.
