About Emily
My goal is for my students to not only improve in the subject but to grow a passion for the topic. If there is little interest, then the heart is not in it. My desire is for my student to leave each class feeling better equipped and inspired to keep putting the work in.
I have worked in a school for the past 4 years and love to inspire young minds to have a growth mindset.

Teaching for me is all about relationship. If I do not know my student, I do not think they will learn well. My opening lessons would include some get to know each other activities and for me to see where you are at in the area you want tutoring in.
A typical lesson plan would look like a warm-up activity, a short lesson, and then an activity to go with it.
These lessons are primarily for elementary age students or ESL students looking to improve their English skills.
As a teacher, I am firm but friendly. I work hard to adapt to the needs of my student and am open to feedback or ways to improve.
