About Micah
As a mother of two students with diverse learning needs, I understand how important it is to have someone working with your child who instills confidence and builds momentum for learning. I have both deep professional experience and authentic life experience and will work personally to bring out the best in your child.
Personally, I enjoy reading, painting, walking and spending time with my family.

Professionally certified in educational therapies that support academic learning for students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and various disorders that make it difficult for students to learn. Lessons are multimodal and address the specific learning needs (Maths, Reading, Writing) of the student. Over 15 years of experience working in primary education and 2 years of experience working with children with special needs. I am a qualified teacher both in the U.S. and the U.K. and have an up-to-date DBS certificate. Additionally, I have a level 2 certification with the National Institute for Learning Development ((concealed information) which is an International Dyslexia Association (IDA) recognized program for working with children who have dyslexia. Typical lessons run 30-80 minutes depending on the student.
