About Charlotte
English lessons are often surprisingly quiet, yet I believe that true progress is found in the noise of active conversation. We shift the focus away from silent worksheets toward engaging in dialogue that improves your listening comprehension and reading skills. Given my 7 years of experience, I know that adult learners and students need practical tools that they can apply immediately to their daily work.
We might work through a complex email draft, discuss current events to boost vocabulary, or practice the precise grammar needed for formal presentations. Growing up in Quebec City, I spent my childhood navigating two distinct linguistic worlds before transitioning into the professional sphere in English. I admit that balancing these two identities was challenging at first, yet it gave me a unique perspective on the hurdles newcomers face. With a BA in ESL from U of T and 7 years of experience, I now help 414 students refine their academic writing and speaking confidence.
