About Darren
I have been working in the music industry as a guitar player for many years and have been playing the guitar for over 25 years. I am self taught from the age of 15. I started out learning songs by rock bands that I had grown up listening to, but quickly branched out into other directions as I have a real diverse approach to music and am always learning new techniques and styles. I have played in numerous bands over the last 20 years, both recording and touring. I have played onstage with a wide range of artists, some of them are some of the biggest selling artists out there. As well as recording with my bands I have been lucky enough to appear on recordings by some of the worlds biggest acts, ranging from pop to rock to metal in diversity. I have been teaching guitar for 20 years now and have taught a wide range of students from all kinds of backgrounds, across all abilities, aged from 8 to 60+. I teach a range of styles and techniques ranging from classical to heavy metal and anything in between. Basically if there is a certain style you want to learn then you can guarantee I can teach it.
