About Enrique
I'm from Spain, living in London since 2016. I started to play bass when I was 18 years old. Self-taught most part of the way and a bit with a hometown little private music academy. I had the luck to have a good bunch of friends to play with. We played funk & fusion (rock, bossa, jazz...) .Those styles opened me a wide variety in rhythms and metrics. Few years later I started to work as a professional musician in many groups and ensembles touring around the country. Was an excellent opportunity to continue learning and playing more different styles ( Latin: salsa, cha cha cha, samba, tumbao, etc...). I also played in a flamenco trio with 2 guitar players wich introduced me to the rich harmonies and rhythms that flamenco has.
In 2012 I completed a "training for trainers" course, also that very year I passed the RSL Grade 8 Bass exam and started to work in a private music academy close to my hometown.
After more than 20 years playing, I'm still passionate about bass and for many more years.

Perfect! If you are serious about learning the bass and its place in music then Enrique is the teacher for you. The way he explains complex concepts and puts them into practice makes them a lot less complex, actually. He is really passionate about the bass and easy-going, you feel welcome and relaxed right away!
- Enrique's response : Alexandra have got easily the concept of Triad starting in each of the seven degrees of the Diatonic modes. That it's an advantage studying Music theory and a good indicator that she will improve quickly if she practices regularly.

I’m so lucky to have had lessons by Enrique, he has taught me so much. His background and depth in various styles of music really comes through in his teaching.
In spite of my not always fast pace of learning Enrique was always patient and highly motivating, he introduced me to a ton of techniques and skills I wasn’t aware existed, and a ton of music theory I wasn’t aware of too.
I would highly recommend Enrique to anyone!Enrique gives engaging lessons personalised to my interests. His knowledge of theory is very advanced, and he has a clear way of expressing complex topics. He also provides a lot of lesson materials, such as music sheets with exercises on them, which he personally makes out of lesson time. He is overall very caring about his students, and very skilled. I have progressed hugely. Highly recommend!
Enrique is a great teacher. He’s very patient and good at explaining things in a way that is clear and has all kind of ‘hacks’ to make bass playing easier. Also, his lessons are a great mix of bass playing and music theory.
This guy is a true master of bass guitar and will inspire you to play and practice everyday.View more recommendations
