About Riva
I am a passionate flute tutor with 20 years of experience, teaching around 150 students from beginner to advanced levels. I enjoy helping students build strong musical skills and confidence.
My teaching method is based on communication, patience, and flexibility. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit their needs. I focus on building a strong foundation in breathing, fingering, tone, and rhythm.
I make learning engaging by including creative exercises and simple songs. This helps students enjoy the process and stay motivated.
One of my strengths is creating a friendly and supportive learning environment. I also help students with music theory and practice techniques. My aim is to help students grow as confident and independent flute players.

My flute teaching methodology is based on understanding each student’s learning style, maintaining flexibility, encouraging collaboration, and creating a positive learning environment. I believe that learning music should be both structured and enjoyable.
I begin by identifying the student’s goals and level, then focus on building strong fundamentals such as breath control, tone quality, posture, and finger coordination. These basics help students develop confidence and consistency.
I keep my teaching flexible, adjusting lessons according to the student’s progress and comfort. Collaboration is encouraged through interactive learning, where students are actively involved in their development.
I maintain a positive and motivating atmosphere where students feel supported. Along with flute, I also teach music theory, rhythm, and listening skills to strengthen overall musical understanding.
