About Elliot
- What kind of experience do you have?
I direct a community jazz band called the 'Notebenders' in Ladywood, Birmingham. The band is very diverse so I have experience teaching a wide range of ages (from 11 upwards). We rehearse every Friday and we perform at the Symphony Hall Foyer in Birmingham once a month.
I also teach students on a one-to-one basis, often travelling to the student for the lessons. I have experience teaching a wide range of ages and abilities including several adult beginners and young children.
I am a flexible teacher who can help students to progress through graded exams (I recently helped 2 students get a distinction on their grade 3 jazz exam) or just help them to enjoy music.
As a busy performer I have a very wide knowledge of different styles of music including jazz, blues, rock and roll and classical.

I am an experienced Saxophone, Woodwind and Piano tutor working in and around Birmingham. I am graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire in 2013 and I have lots of performing experience.

- Tell me about your qualifications.
I graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire in 2013 with a BMus (Honours) Jazz degree.
I have Saxophone grade 8 and Piano grade 6.
Music A-Level
- How much do you charge?
One-to-One lessons are £30 per hour
Lessons away from my home are £32 per hour with an additional fuel charge if needed.
For younger students I usually recommend half-hour lessons which are charged at the same hourly rate.
- Where do you teach?
I can teach in my own home or I can travel within the West Midlands. I live in Moseley (Birmingham) but I can travel to Coventry, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Lichfield, Sutton Coldfield and others!
- When are you available?
I am available to teach weekdays between 9am and 9pm and weekends between 9am and 7pm.

I teach all levels and ages.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
ABRSM or Trinity music exams.
