I am a research engineer (PhD) with extensive professional and teaching experience. Feeling frustrated when using your Mac computer? Always need help to handle computer stuff? Is your Mac a real mess with files everywhere? Recently switched from Windows to Mac but don't understand how Mac works? Want to create professional documents, slides or flyers, but using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Apple iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) or Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) seems all very complicated to you? Or maybe preparing for a new job that requires to have general computer skills? Well, let me help you! Although I studied engineering to a PhD level, I still had to learn how to use computers by myself. I know how it feels. Pretty confusing. There were tons of information online, but there also seemed to be contradictory information or solutions that were not entirely specific to what I wanted to do. This was frustrating and resulted in many hours, sometimes days or weeks of trials and errors. Since then, through learning and practice in my day-to-day life, I am now confident with using Mac computers and editing various documents, slides and flyers using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Apple iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) or Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides). This process took years for me, but it doesn't need to be that long for you! The process we follow during my lessons is simple: 1. We identify your needs 2. We establish a step-by-step learning plan specific to what you want to achieve 3. For each step of the plan, - you learn the necessary foundations - only what is necessary, no extraneous boring obscure theory - you integrate these foundations by immediately applying them 4. We repeat step 3. If you follow this process, you will understand how to think when using a computer - and, ultimately, this is the most important thing for you to learn to be able to confidently use computers by yourself. During my 8+ years of academic research and industry experience, I have mentored and taught students who have successfully passed their exams, completed their project or improved in their day-to-day job. If you think computers are too complex for you, I have taught students from all levels, ages, and origins (teenagers, university students, job seekers, young/established/retired professionals, people in their 40s, people in their 80s, ...), some of them being diagnosed with learning disabilities. So why not you? I'm incredibly patient and understand that everyone learns at a different pace. So what I'd like to offer you are fully customised lessons with a heavy emphasis on the practical side. Lessons are mainly about - how to efficiently use Mac computers and the applications on it - how to efficiently create and edit documents with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), Apple iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) or Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides). Lessons are taught online. You might be feeling like this is expensive, especially with the economy going down everywhere. I appreciate how you feel - let's look at it from another perspective: how many hours, days, or even weeks would you spend looking for information online by yourself, and how much would all that time spent on trial-and-error really cost you or your business? Also, times of crisis are the best times to invest in yourself and learn new skills to improve your work or business. So, I think the real question is: how can we make sure that you get the benefits of dedicated lessons, right now, although you don't know me yet? Well, you won't have to pay the tuition fee for the first hour if you are not satisfied! I'm looking forward to helping you in your computer/tech journey! Too many people think computers are complicated, but it doesn't have to be that way. Computer technology is an amazing tool that allows gaining back so much time. I'd love to share that with you :)

Perfect! Toan was excellent at explaining Mac basic use as well as trouble shooting some specific issues that I had. He was very calm and able to gauge well my level of knowledge (or lack of!) Thankyou - a really helpful lesson!
