About Becky
I am passionate about Maths and teaching. I love to pass on my knowledge of Maths to the future generations. Maths is becoming more and more important in the commercial world, especially with the current skills shortage in the Science and Technology sectors. I make Maths accessible to all and help pupils of all abilities maximise their potential.
During my 18 years in Education I have worked in both the Private and State sectors covering AQA, Edexcel and OCR at GCSE, IGCSE, Further Maths level 2 and Further Maths IGCSE. At A’level I have Taught Applied Maths for years 1 & 2 of the new course and some of the Pure sections.
Whilst teaching full-time I have tutored many students 1-1 and in small groups. This has helped me to become a better teacher as it has enabled me to understand a student’s frustrations and pre-empt misconceptions.

Maths is a language and requires regular practice and the skills must be gradually developed. If the basics have not been understood, the more complex areas will prove difficult to grasp. I therefore use a wide range of resources and styles to minimise confusion and ensure that a student is fully prepared for an exam or real life situations.
