Professional Mathematics Tutor
With over 20 years of teaching experience in colleges and private tuition, I am committed to helping students achieve their full potential in mathematics. As an Engineering Graduate with a recognised teaching qualification, I bring both strong subject knowledge and proven teaching expertise to every lesson.
My approach is professional, supportive, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. I begin by assessing their current understanding, identifying strengths and areas for improvement, and then designing lessons that target their specific learning goals. Whether a student is aiming to improve confidence, strengthen core skills, or achieve top examination grades, I provide structured guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
I understand that many students can find mathematics challenging or intimidating. For this reason, I place great emphasis on building confidence in a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. By using a range of teaching strategies, online resources, past examination materials, and carefully selected worksheets, I help students develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts and effective problem-solving skills.
Lessons are typically one hour long and are carefully planned to maximise progress. Regular feedback is provided so that both students and parents can clearly see improvements and areas of focus.

My Approach to Tutoring
I believe that every student has unique strengths and areas for development. My teaching approach begins with assessing each student's current level of understanding, identifying both their strengths and weaknesses, and then creating a personalised learning plan to help them achieve their goals.
Building confidence is a key part of my teaching methodology. I use a variety of techniques and strategies to ensure that concepts are understood thoroughly and that students feel comfortable tackling increasingly challenging problems. Lessons are tailored to individual learning styles and may include a combination of explanations, worked examples, guided practice, problem-solving activities, online resources, and carefully selected worksheets.
Lesson Structure
Lessons are typically one hour in duration, providing sufficient time to review previous learning, introduce new concepts, practise skills, and address any questions or difficulties the student may have.

I am an Engineering Graduate with a teaching qualification and over 20 years of teaching experience in colleges and private tutoring. Throughout my career, I have successfully supported students of varying abilities, helping them improve their understanding, confidence, and academic performance.
