When I was at school, I found that I, and my friends, performed best when we used methods to learn and revise that worked well for us. For example, I know I'm a visual learner and that creating mind maps always helps me understand a topic better. My teaching method is to work out how my student will learn best and then base our lessons around learning in this style, and also create revision resources that the student can come back to. I will also use past paper questions, which are key to doing well in any subject, as they allow you to understand what the exam board is looking for and how best to approach questions.
I am currently in my second year as an engineering student at Cambridge University and would love to be able to help students currently studying maths, physics or further maths at GCSE and A level. I achieved a 9 and an A* in maths and further maths at GCSE, and an A* in both maths and further maths at A level. I have an A* in GCSE physics and an A in A level physics. I completed my GCSEs in 2017 and A levels in 2019, so have up to date knowledge of what the current courses and examinations require.

Perfect! Libby is an excellent tutor. She is friendly, accommodating and very well prepared. My 13-year-old daughter really enjoyed her first online maths lesson. Libby spent some time putting my daughter at ease and establishing her current level at the outset, before introducing a new concept to build on her existing knowledge. The lesson was pitched at just the right level and Libby's explanations were very clear. She made good use of an online interactive whiteboard. My daughter made good progress in an hour and, most importantly, found the lesson fun and stimulating. She is keen to have more lessons with Libby, which is perhaps all that I needed to say!
