About Arya
I am a junior at Rutgers University studying biomedical engineering. I am originally from Ocean Township, New Jersey. Growing up, I always loved science and math and thrived in more challenging, higher-level math and science courses from elementary to high school. At Rutgers University, I am a research assistant working with myotubes and studying human muscle development. As a tutor, I tutored for two years at Kumon, tutoring math and English, and recently tutored at Tutor Me Education. On this online platform, I taught Math, English, and Science courses like Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

My tutoring methods differ for each student. I first get to know the students, break the ice and make sure that the student is comfortable and able to ask questions they are uncomfortable asking. A typical lesson plan includes reviewing previous work, working on new material, and a small weekly quiz to ensure students understand the concepts. My tutoring skills and innovative plans are fun yet educational and have led me to be a successful tutor for over four years. The lessons are primarily for any elementary to high school student struggling with Math, English, and Science courses like Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. I can also tutor SAT math and biomedical engineering/general engineering courses. Any specific requests can be made as well.
