About Monica
I am an Engineering student at the University of Warwick and achieved A*AA in Physics, Maths and Further Maths at A-level. I also have around one year of tutoring experience, teaching GCSE Maths, GCSE Further Maths and A-level Maths. I went to a maths school and I'm very interested in all things STEM and helping people. The reason I got into tutoring is because I found myself helping my friends in class a lot

My approach to tutoring is tailored to each student’s ability, confidence and goals.
For stronger students, I often begin with an exam-style question to assess their understanding and identify any gaps. We then work through the question together, focusing on efficient methods, mathematical reasoning and exam technique.
For students who need more support, I usually begin with a clear worked example before moving on to questions based on their weaker topics. I break difficult concepts into smaller steps and encourage students to explain their reasoning so I can check that they understand the method rather than simply memorising it.
My lessons usually include a mixture of explanation, worked examples, guided practice and independent exam questions. I adapt the pace and difficulty throughout the lesson depending on how the student is progressing.
Lessons are typically one hour long.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE and A-level students of different abilities, including students who need help improving their confidence and foundations, as well as higher-achieving students aiming for top grades.
