I am a university student studying English and creative writing. I have been passionately learning and teaching English since GCSEs whether that be to my friends or family. I myself achieved a grade 8 in English literature and am still studying it to this day so I have a lot of hands on experience and know what to look for. In total, I have taught 8 students, for literature, who were also my friends at GCSE level and they came out with 8s and 9s. Currently, I am working on becoming either a teacher or independent published writer but I have been published before through competitions.

My teaching method is quite simple. It will be based on what you have already done at school and what you will be doing. As I will be teaching English literature at GCSE level, I will go through the books, plays and poems that are studying. I will go over key moments and concepts and reinforce strong analysis. Once a basic understanding of this is achieved I will move onto exam techniques and questions and how we can integrate what we have learned into the questions to form a grade 9 answer. I know what is required in each question of the literature paper - as well as the 40 mark creative writing section at the end which is at my advantage.
