Methodology

My teaching method is thorough with plenty of opportunity to research content. I apply a structure that addresses theory, content, creative writing, and literary and language devices. I aim to track and ensure development through both formative and summative assessment.

Experience

I am a teacher/performer/writer and editor, with experience in school, community and 1:1 tuition. I have wide knowledge in literature with a taste for the classics and Gothic. Additionally, I am currently working on my own writing portfolio and novel.

Personal Statement
A competent, literature enthusiast and confident writer; I have written articles, poetry and prose and have a key interest in the Gothic, crime, and current affairs. I have substantial experience working in theatre and television which has allowed me to expand on communication, adaptability and practical skills; obtaining a clear understanding of the industry and my craft. Eager and passionate about influencing others, I have worked with children, adults, and learners with learning disabilities, autism and mental health disorders, in an educational environment. My teaching areas favour literature and drama, specialising in creative writing, musical theatre and comedy.
