About Jason
Hello, my name is Jason and I am an English and Drama tutor based in London.
I hold a BA degree in English (Upper Class 2.1) from the University of Leeds (Top 100 University in the world & part of the Russell Group). I also1 received the following A level results: A*A*B in English Literature, Drama, and Sociology.
I have extensive experience of teaching & tutoring, from teaching English as a foreign language in Italy to age groups 6-16, to working in schools in the UK. For two years, I delivered specialized English 1-to-1 and group tutoring to students from several schools for the company Tutor Trust, an organization that brings tutors into primary and secondary schools. This included creating development strategies with specific targets and goals for the student to achieve, creating fun and engaging lesson plans using games and online resources, and using mock material from past examinations.
I can adapt my experience to teach English and Drama from GCSE to A Level, using any examining board required. I provide essay/dissertation proof-reading up to degree level. I also give Maths tutoring up to 11+.
I am a motivated, enthusiastic and friendly teacher with a keen passion for English and Drama. I have acted professionally for 8 years, with experience in writing, directing, stage and screen acting, as well as theoretical study during school in which I achieved an A* at A Level. My practical experience in the acting world has given me a well-rounded understanding of theatre and script. I will help you grasp both subjects with confidence and ease.
We can either plan a long-term strategy based on your strengths and weaknesses, building up to a level where you can answer exam questions with ease, or, we can look at one particular area you need support with, and have a block of lessons on a short-term basis (under 10 hours) with an in-depth focus on that area.

Lessons are provided in London, and worldwide via Skype.
Fees are dependent on the level of study. For example, 11+ will be at a lower rate than dissertation help.

Jason tutored my daughter Miriam in her GCSE English Literature and Language subjects this summer in the run up to her exams.
I would highly recommend Jason. He has a bright and cheerful personality and was able to interact with my daughter and make her feel comfortable and enjoy her lessons.
Jason created engaging content and came well prepared. He usually prepared the lesson carefully beforehand so that there were interesting topics to discuss and weaknesses identified and targeted.
Miriam was struggling with the understanding of some set texts, essay writing and comprehension. His acting background showed as he could make the written texts come to life and her grades considerably improved.
