About Sam
I am a knowledgeable and patient English Literature and Language tutor and teacher with over 7 years of experience in and out of the classroom and many student success stories under my belt (A*s at A-Level and 9s at GCSE). I hold a Master's degree with a distinction in English from the University of Liverpool.
Empathy and support are the cornerstones of a good classroom experience, so I am highly patient with all of my students and structure my tutoring to build on their schoolwork and complement their existing learning.
I push my tutees to achieve their true potential, and hopefully develop a lifelong love of literature.
My proudest moments are when something has 'clicked' for one of my students that they have previously struggled with in class!
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking and listening to podcasts, but I'm also an enthusiastic home cook, amateur forager and DIYer.
